2021 VOW Fall Camp Update

As we enjoy these long summer days, we can’t help but think of Fall VOW Camp. While our hearts ache to gather, to share experiences, and to explore new skills, we are sad to announce that we will be unable to hold Fall VOW Camp this year, 2021. While things feel closer to a return to normal right now, and Vermont has seen great success in declining COVID-19 cases and high vaccination levels, questions still remain about the potential of requiring attendees to be vaccinated and about emerging variants of the virus as we approach fall. We believe it is still important to prioritize the health and safety of participants, instructors, and organizers.

We hope that you will seek opportunities to get outside with your friends and family over the coming months. Stay tuned for additional updates and news from our ever-evolving organization in the coming weeks.

Fall VOW Camp

Vermont Outdoors Woman offers a weekend retreat for adventurous women 18 years and older (16 with guardian) in Canaan, Vermont in September. It's be the beginning of Vermont's fall foliage season and classes are held in the woods and on the lake.

Between courses there is ample free time to make new friends, talk to instructors, mingle, explore or just relax on the sandy beach -- and the evening campfires are always popular.

Jackson's Lodge & Log Cabins, a family resort located on the shores of beautiful Lake Wallace in Vermont’s scenic Northeast Kingdom, has been a favorite destination of savvy vacationers for decades. And it is the perfect setting for Fall Camp. Located in Vermont's moose country, Jackson's Café is a local favorite for homemade breakfast and baked goods (including gluten free). Proprietor, Gloria Jackson is once again preparing to make this the best Fall Camp ever. Don't miss our moose BBQ on Saturday evening.

Lakeside log cabins at Jackson’s Lodge combine a rustic and relaxing family-friendly atmosphere with modern necessities. Campers can bring sleeping bags or rent linens. You can also bring a tent and camp on site!

"What a wonderful wonderful thing VOW Camp is.  I am particularly glad for the focus on promoting mother – daughter opportunities." Kathleen G
"I can't stop thinking about last weekend and wish it was already time for the next VOW Camp.  I met so many nice people and learned such fun and interesting things.  I told my sister who couldn't make it last weekend that I think this is going to be an annual event for us!" Jennifer T
